The cold low pressure area is still over the Pacific Northwest (see satellite picture below). Not much moisture with this system but it will bring a few clouds to the areas north of Redding along with isolated light showers. The areas east....Lassen and Plumas counties will also see a few clouds and maybe an isolated sprinkle. The valley and coast range will be mostly sunny with temperatures a little warmer. Gusty west to northwest winds will continue until sunset.
Friday will be mostly sunny and a little warmer with a few clouds still over the far north end of the state.
Saturday and early Sunday another weak low pressure area approaches the coast. This system will bring partly cloudy skies to the north state with isolated showers over the higher elevations. Precipitation will be light and temperatures will be a few degrees below normal.
There will be a brief break between system and then another weak low pressure area will move through Monday afternoon and Tuesday. (see map below) This looks a little wetter so expect partly cloudy skies and scattered showers...still mainly over the foothills and mountains.
We will see another brief break and then another weak storm system late Wednesday and Thursday.
