Memorial Day weekend marks the beginning of the third season for Cy Hall Memorial Museum in Greenville.
A preview party for the new exhibits is planned for Friday, May 25, at 5 p.m.
The exhibits feature Indian Valley schools, which volunteers think is important due to the challenges faced by the schools today and in the future.
Directors strive to establish and preserve collections and artifacts that represent local heritage.
They encourage people who come to view the displays to offer pieces and pictures of their own experiences while attending Indian Valley schools that can be kept for future generations to see.
The Night at the Museum series will include a special presentation Saturday, Aug. 18, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Titled “Teachers Remembering Indian Valley Schools,” it will add dimension to the themed displays for this year.
The museum and its programs are made possible by tax-deductible donations and memberships.
The museum is located at the corner of Main and Mill streets in historic downtown Greenville.
Look for the sidewalk with a brick border.
