An Oroville man is in the Plumas County Jail after being arrested on multiple drug charges following a Thursday, June 7, traffic stop.
Robert Nemen Ridge Jr., 53, was charged with possession of methamphetamine for sale, possession of marijuana for sale, transportation of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, child endangerment and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
Ridge was stopped by the California Highway Patrol on Highway 70 near Rock Creek in the Feather River Canyon.
After the 4 p.m. stop, Ridge was arrested for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
A search of the vehicle revealed a sellable quantity of marijuana, methamphetamine, scales, drug paraphernalia and packaging.
Ridge had his 13-year-old daughter in the vehicle. The girl was turned over to Child Protective Services.
After Ridge was arrested, the Plumas County Investigations Unit obtained a search warrant for Ridge’s Oroville residence at the Big Bend Mountain Mobile Home Park.
Investigators from the Butte County Sheriffs Office served the warrant and found more drugs and paraphernalia in the residence.
The search uncovered a sellable quantity of methamphetamine, marijuana and hash. Scales and a loaded firearm were also found, leading investigators to believe that the drugs were being sold from the residence.
Two additional suspects were arrested after the search and are pending charges in Butte County, according to the Plumas County Sheriffs Office.
