County truck knocks out power

A Pacific Gas & Electric power pole, with live wires, leans against a Plumas County public works water truck at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug 7. The water truck, which was involved in road work, clipped the pole on Bucks Lake Road, about four miles from Quincy.

According to PG&E spokesman Paul Moreno, 344 residents in Meadow Valley were without power Tuesday afternoon. A PG&E crew was on the scene and power is was expected to be restored by 7:30 p.m. Residents in the Quincy area experienced a brief outage when the collision happened just before 4 p.m. Photo by Dan McDonald
