About Feather Publishing's Plumas County newspapers: The Feather River Bulletin is among California's oldest newspapers having been established in 1866 (as the Plumas National). Its' Plumas County sister newspapers; the Chester Progressive, Indian Valley Record, and Portola Reporter were established in 1946, 1930, and 1927 respectively. Each paper is published weekly on Wednesdays.
