Pet Art Benefits Animal Rescue
Following the style of her unique PoesyArt, Linda Gorman of Gold Mountain is venturing into custom Pet Art with a portion of proceeds going to the High Sierra Animal
Rescue in Portola. Her art designs are derived from original photographs that are enhanced and processed for printing on artist's canvas, gallery wrapped on stretcher bars, and ready to hang. Interested pet owners can upload their pet photographs at Linda's website, LLGorman.com, and commission the work.

Chamber mixer, open house
You are invited to help Physical Therapist Kory Felker celebrate his fifth anniversary as owner of Plumas Physical Therapy. To mark the occasion, he is hosting a Quincy Chamber mixer Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at his practice in the medical complex behind the Plumas Pines Shopping Center in Quincy. Beer, wine, sodas and appetizers will be served. Kory, along with a well-trained staff, provide a full range (no pun intended) of services that include convenient early morning and evening appointments so you can get back on the road to recovery.
After taking some time off for health reasons, John T. Bergstrand, D.C. has reopened his chiropractic in a new location at 573 Jackson St. in Quincy across from Ada’s Place. John offices were on Central Avenue, but said his new location is more relaxing and offers his patients more privacy.
With regret, Plumas District Hospital announced the early departure of Dr. Charles Eck, who was slated to work at the hospital for nine months. Unfortunately, shortly after he began seeing patients at Quincy Family Medicine, Dr. Eck learned of a personal medical issue to which he must attend immediately. No word on a replacement has been made yet.
FOUNDATION AUTHORIZED
Tiffany Leonhardt, foundation and marketing manager for Plumas District Hospital and it's nonprofit Plumas Health Care Foundation, reports that PHCF has been recognized as an authorized charity for the 2010 "giving season" by Norcal Combined Federal Campaign. Donations, including workplace payroll deductions made by federal civilian, postal and military employees through Dec. 15, 2010 support eligible non-profits, such as PHCF.
