A PETITION FOR PROBATE has been filed by: Paul Bennett in the Superior Court of California, County of Plumas.

THE PETITION FOR PROBATE requests that: Paul Bennett be appointed as personal representative to administer the estate of the decedent.

Opportunity to Comment on Snake Lake Campground Enhancement Project

The Plumas National Forest, Mt. Hough Ranger District, is preparing an Environmental Assessment for the Snake Lake Campground Enhancement Project. The project proposes improved and expanded recreation facilities for the public to meet recreational demands while protecting resources and reducing hazardous fuel accumulation in the campground. This project is located in T 24N, R 9E, Section 6, near Quincy, California, Plumas County, MDBM.

In order to provide improved recreation facilities for the public, the project proposes to establish a new group campsite and develop eight additional equestrian campsites. Other improvements include installation of new picnic tables, grills, and fire rings throughout the campground, creation of a wheelchair accessible campsite with a hardened path to the existing handicapped accessible toilet, and development of a parking spur to accommodate additional user vehicles. The new equestrian sites would be supported by the addition of eight corrals and two mounting ramps and platforms (one at the handicapped accessible site and one at the corrals). These facilities would be developed between National Forest System (NFS) roads 24N27 and 24N56X. In order to reduce hazardous fuel accumulation, the area would be thinned prior to the addition of the new sites.

We are asking for comments and concerns about this project. Comments will be used to identify issues and develop alternatives to the proposed action. To assist the Forest Service in identifying and considering issues and concerns about the proposed action, comments should be as specific as possible.
