Feather PublishingAn earthquake struck Plumas County at 8:48 p.m. on Thursday evening. The 5.7 quake struck about 11 miles west/northwest of Greenville near Canyon Dam. It was felt as far away as Sacramento, San Francisco, Chico, and Lake Tahoe.
For many years now, the Plumas County Picnic has been associated with the Sierra Cascade Street Rodders’ show and shine. The 2013 version of the picnic is no different. However, this year will feature a new, and hopefully annual, attraction: the Plumas County Picnic Swap Meet.
On Monday, May 13, Hat Creek Construction began paving operations on the east end of the Chester Flood Control Channel and on both ends of the Feather River Bridge. Grinding continues throughout Chester.
