Hike to historic gold discovery site, meet 10:30 at Eureka Lake. Hike about 1-1/2 hours to site of gold strike on Eureka Peak, optional continuation to Eureka Peak. Peak hike, 3-1/2-hour loop, includes 1,200-foot elevation gain. Free; limited to 15. Includes information on geology, flowers, trees. Bring hiking shoes, water, lunch. Hike repeats June 29.
