A motorcyclist who was reported missing Sunday night after he failed to arrive in Sierra City was found dead Monday morning.
According to Plumas County Sheriff Greg Hagwood, the 41-year-old man’s body was discovered off the road near Yuba Pass on Highway 49 about 8:45 a.m.
Hagwood said the man appeared to be the victim of a single-vehicle crash.
The victim was reported missing at 8:45 p.m. Sunday. He was reportedly riding his motorcycle from Grass Valley to Sierra City to meet a family member.
