Campsites Closed at Grizzly Forebay Due to Hazardous Trees

All seven campsites at Grizzly Forebay Campground in Plumas County will not open on June 1 due to several trees that pose a safety hazard, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) reported today.

PG&E will wait to remove the trees until sensitive birds in the region are finished nesting so they won’t be disturbed by the noise and activity. PG&E expects the tree removals to be completed and the Grizzly Forebay campground to be reopened by early July.

The Grizzly Forebay Campground is a walk-in and boat-in only campsite. Other campsites at nearby Bucks Lake will be open as scheduled.
