The Almanor Fishing Association reports it’s family fun and barbecue time. People can mark their calendars for the association’s 22nd Annual Family Barbecue and Fundraiser. “The family-friendly event is sure to be a fun-filled evening that you won’t want to miss,” say organizers.

The event is set to take place Saturday, Aug. 9, at the Lake Almanor Country Club, Recreation Area No. 1, from 4 to 9 p.m. Dinner will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. A New York steak dinner requires a $22 donation, while a hot dog plate requires a $5 donation.

Presale tickets are available at Good Vibrations, Big Cove Resort and the Lake Almanor Country Club restaurant. Presale tickets shave $2 off the price of the New York steak dinner.
