3/17/2010 - The Feather River College softball team opened up Golden Valley Conference play last Thursday, March 11, against Lassen College.

The Golden Eagles dominated the first game of the doubleheader behind the strong pitching of Erica Wieck.

Heskett chosen to coach Lions- All-Star football game

   3-10-2010 - For more than three decades, the annual Lions All-Star Football Game has grown into a much-anticipated event among prep football fans in Northeastern California.
    The best high school senior football players from more than 50 teams throughout the region are selected for the all-star game.

    The Feather River College softball team traveled south to Stockton Saturday, March 6, to get back to action after a 15-day layoff.

    The Golden Eagles knocked off the rust against Contra Costa behind a strong pitching performance by Annalee Rubio. Rubio surrendered only five hits while striking out five in route to her second shutout of the season.

   After completing its last race of the regular season at Boreal Feb. 19, the Chester High School ski team won first place overall in the Central I League.
    

With all the points added up from the six races this season, Chester took second place in each of the men’s and women’s divisions, giving the Volcanoes first place overall.

Ski team helps its own

    The most wonderful thing about being a member of the Johnsville Junior Ski Team is not just getting to ski with friends and family on the weekends; not just the feeling of accomplishment when crossing the finish line; and not just the confidence and self-esteem from participating in a team sport, even though these are all the things we can talk about, laugh about and share with one another.
