Museum association saves the day for assistant director

    The Plumas County Museum Association likely saved the assistant museum director position at a Tuesday, June 15, county budget meeting, when its board of trustees offered to cover the position’s salary for the upcoming fiscal year.

 

Future plans may change the image of Greenville

    Greenville will take on a whole new look if all of the improvement plans come to fruition. 

   Decorative streetlights, avenue trees, street corner bulb outs, special pavers and continuous sidewalks on both sides of Highway 89 through Greenville are just some of the proposed plans contained in a draft project report and draft environmental document that will be published about the first of July by Caltrans.

 

Plumas Corporation takes big cut to tourism services

    Plumas Corporation survived the annual county general-fund budget process with a one-third cut in funding, one of the largest relative losses of financial support taken by any one entity during the Tuesday, June 14, meeting.
 

 

Directors consider selling Indian Valley Hospital

Directors of the Indian Valley Health Care District agreed Monday, June 7, to move forward with plans for a possible sale of the hospital property.

High Desert State Prison Sergeant Todd Posch was not sentenced Monday, June 7.

District Attorney Jeff Cunan indicated that he and Judge Ira Kaufman were both researching the topic of charging someone with restitution to be paid to a government entity.
