Temporary road closures in Meadow Valley
Spanish Ranch Road at Spanish Creek in Meadow Valley will be closed from 8 am to 5 pm on November 16, 17 and 18. The roadway is being closed to enable a rig to drill borings for the Spanish Ranch Bridge Replacement project.

Forest Service burning slash piles north of Chester
The Almanor Ranger District of the Lassen National Forest is burning slash piles north of Chester today. These "grapple piles" are made with heavy equipment and tend to be larger than hand piles and typically produce more smoke. Smoke may be visible in the Almanor Basin.

Veterans Day Parade
The Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony in Greenville will begin promptly at 11 a.m. Friday. Nov. 11.
The parade route will be along Main Street, on both sides of Highway 89.

CHP offers free child safety seat check up
The California Highway Patrol will be conducting a free child safety seat check up event on Friday, Nov. 11, in Quincy.
The check up will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Plumas Motor Supply parking lot, across from the Quincy CHP office.

Free flu shot clinic this Thursday
Plumas County Public Health will provide a free flu vaccination clinic at the Plumas County Public Health Agency in Quincy Thursday, Nov. 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. Appointments are not necessary; folks are invited to just walk in. Flu forms are available at the clinic or can be downloaded at http://www.plumascounty.us/index.aspx?nid=2069.
