The Tigers got their sweet revenge last Wednesday, Nov. 21, as they ploughed through the Volcanoes for a 42-13 win to make them the Division IV champions.
Portola dominated in all aspects of the game and led Chester 21-6 at the half. The second half played out in a similar manner. Portola made three more touchdowns and Chester made one more.
Portola was concurred by celebration after the game, popping open bottles of cider and spraying it all over Chester’s field.
Portola’s Oscar Romero was named most valuable player. Though Romero only made one of Portola’s six touchdowns, he controlled the game with his outstanding rushing to put the Tigers in ideal scoring positions.
