Customers of Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative could expect a temporary power outage on Sunday, May 12, or Monday, May 13, at approximately 1 a.m.
The electric company has been requested by PG&E to switch to its backup power source for transmission repairs at the Sierra Pacific Industries’ mill in Quincy.
The work is estimated to take about four hours.
The repairs are required to fix damage caused by a fire at the mill on May 1.
