75 YEARS AGO..........1938

    The body of Harry Ferris, missing in the wilds of Feather River Middle Fork since February, was found this week. His body was found in the brush within 500 feet of the spot where his wife Winona died six days after they left their cabin on Winters Creek.

50 YEARS AGO..........1963

    Back issues of all Plumas County newspapers are being microfilmed this week so that they will be preserved forever in a small space and be available for reference. Plumas County librarian Miss Josephine Moore will give demonstrations on how to use the film equipment at the Quincy library.

25 YEARS AGO...........1988

    The fire lookout located near the entrance of the Plumas County fairgrounds has been moved to another fairgrounds location where workers will bring it up to code. The lookout was donated to the Plumas County fairgrounds by the USFS in 1985.

10 YEARS AGO..........2003

    Plumas Bank has acquired and purchased five branches from Placer Sierra Bank including those branches in Portola, Quincy and Loyalton.
