Notice of Decision: Regional Trail Repair
On May 8, 2013, Deb Bumpus, District Ranger of the Beckwourth Ranger District, Plumas National Forest, signed a Decision Memo authorizing the reconstruction of several trails in the Lakes Basin Recreation Area during the 2013 field season.  Copies of the Decision Memo are available at the Beckwourth Ranger District, 23 Mohawk Road, Blairsden, California.  Additional information regarding this decision can be obtained from Lisa Sedlacek at (530) 836-2575.
Decision Not Subject to Appeal:  In accordance with the March 19, 2012 order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California in Case No. CV F11-679LJO DLB, this decision was subject to administrative review (appeal) pursuant to 36 CFR Part 215.  However, since no comments expressing concerns were received during the 30-day legal notice and comment period, this decision is not subject to appeal [36 CFR 215.12(e)], and an appeal period will not be offered.

The Forest Service, Plumas National Forest, Beckwourth Ranger District, is preparing an Environmental Assessment for the Crocker Guard Station Public Toilet Project.  The proposed action is to install a vault toilet at Crocker Guard Station which is located in T24N, R14E, Section 33.  The District has been working to improve this historic facility for reuse as a Recreation Rental.  Installation of a vault toilet will enhance the on-going restoration work occurring at this facility by providing a sanitary toilet facility.
