All aircraft working the Hough Complex fires are heading back to their bases due to hazardous weather conditions.
A large active thunder storm is moving from the south to the north across eastern Plumas County. The storm is currently just north east of Quincy and moving into the fire area. Several lightning strikes have been observed and down draft winds are forecast to be as strong as 60 mph.
There is some moisture associated with the storm.
