A damage suit for $5,250.00 was filed in Plumas County Superior Court this week in a lawsuit of Manila Mower of Portola vs. the Feather River Stage Company. She alleges that she was forced to jump off one of the company owned stage as it came down a hill at Buck s Lake last year when the stage caught fire.

The State Controllers office records shows Plumas County has 9,356 motor vehicles registered as of June 30.

The $27.4 million budget adopted by the Plumas County Board of Supervisors after a week of hearings, adds three new full time employees, including a co-administrative assistant.

It took two split votes but the Plumas County Board of Supervisors will hire a County Counsel at a salary of $90,000 a year and a County Administrative assistant at an annual salary of $80,000-$90,000.
The Plumas County Board of Supervisors has appointed Deputy County Counsel Barbara Snelling as interim County Counsel at $6,000 a month, replacing Rob Shulman, who resigned.
