Jeff Pershing is returning to his roots in Indian Valley to perform with his band at Downtown Farms in Greenville during the Gift of Music Program’s season finale Sept. 28.
Hosted in collaboration with Donnell’s MusicLand, the concert series is a family event that offers sliding scale admission between $5 and $10. Music will begin at 4 p.m., and a picnic potluck will follow at 5 p.m.
The fall celebration will encompass The Jeff Pershing Band’s tribal rock sound, which, according to their online biography, “radiates a playful and positive energy with a combination of uplifting lyrics influenced by rock, funk, blues, Latin jazz, Afro pop and reggae.”
Pershing was raised in Indian Valley and graduated from Greenville High School. As a multitalented musician, Pershing’s skills as a singer, songwriter and guitarist were recognized when he was only 16. Since then he has performed in Plumas and Butte counties, as well as clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area.
