Notice is given that Negative Declaration Number 646 has been prepared and is available for public review for the following project:

Proposed General Plan Amendment 2009 Housing Element Update

The project is a comprehensive update of the Housing Element that was adopted by Plumas County in 2006. State Housing Element Law (Government Code Section 65580 et seq) mandates that local governments must adequately plan to meet the existing and projected housing needs of all economic segments of the community. Upon its adoption, the 2009 Housing Element will become part of the Plumas County General Plan.

A public hearing on the adoption will be held before the Plumas County Board of Supervisors on February 16, 2010 at 1:30 p.m., Plumas County Courthouse, Quincy, CA.

This document is proposed to be adopted and has been filed with Plumas County Planning and Building Services. It is now available for inspection and review. The review period is from January 13, 2010, through February 1, 2010.

Forest management plan

Scoping Notice

The Greenville Rancheria and the Bureau of Indian Affairs are preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) of the consequences of implementing the Rancheria's Draft Forest Management Plan (FMP). The FMP contains management direction for fire suppression, fire prevention, watercourse and reserved area management, general forest management, timber stand improvement, free use harvest requirements, land use allocations and other management direction as needed to maintain healthy forests and woodlands. Based on the EA, the Rancheria may elect to adopt the FMP (Proposed Action), continue with the current situation (Alternative 1 - No Action) or make changes to the FMP as a result of the comments submitted or the environmental consequences of the Proposed Action.
