Schools open Thursday and on schedule

All schools in the Plumas Unified School District are open Thursday and starting on schedule, the only chain requirement at this time is in the town of Chester.

Early reports show the Chester area received approximately two inches of snow overnight, while on the other end of the county, Portola added about 2.5 inches to their total.
