The rock slide has been cleared and Highway 70 in the Feather RiverCanyon is now open.
4/3/2010 5:45 a.m UpdateHighway 70 remains closed due to a rockslide. Mortorists are advised to use an alternate route.
4/2/2010 4:40 p.m. A rock-slide has closed the Feather River Canyon for through traffic. The slide is located just west of the county line near the tunnels and is blocking both lanes and the shoulder. All residents who live on the Plumas side of the tunnels will be allowed to drive to andfrom their homes but the canyon will be closed to all other traffic.
