Bids for gym bleachers

The Plumas Unified School District is currently accepting bids for the replacement of the Portola Jr. Sr. High School gymnasium bleachers located at 155 Sixth Avenue, Portola, CA. 96122.

Bleachers must be of electric, telescoping design as manufactured by Hussey Seating Company, Maxam telescopic seating system or equal and meet all current Insurance and ADA compliance regulations. Any alternate product must meet or exceed Maxam design specifications and also have been previously approved by the California Division of the State Architect for installation in California schools. A complete list of alternate product criteria will be provided in the bid specifications.

Contractor must be a Manufacturer Authorized Installer in good standing, with proper license and insurance, with a minimum of five (5) years experience in the installation of telescoping bleachers. PLUMAS COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION

FEATHER RIVER CANYON

WATER WELL INVESTIGATIONS

The Plumas County Community Development Commission is requesting quotations from California registered geo hydrologists/groundwater geologists to conduct electro-telluric logging for possible well locations in the Feather River Canyon on Highway 70. The specific sites would include the communities of Paxton and Maple Leaf. The submittal should include proposed cost for the work and a time schedule for conducting the investigations.

I) BACKGROUND - In an effort to eliminate the use of surface water and the costly treatment of same that is required by the Surface Water Treatment Rule as specified by the California Department of Health Services, the Plumas County Community Development Commission (PCCDC), on behalf of the Feather River Canyon Community Services District has obtained limited funding to investigate the possibility of finding and developing deep water wells for the aforementioned communities.

II) SCOPE OF WORK - The primary scope of work covered in this RFQ will be to explore potential deep water well sites at the Paxton Lodge and Maple Leaf communities and make recommendations to the PCCDC, which will assist them in deciding on a course of action as far as pursuing well development. Secondary work items, should a successful well location be determined, will entail monitoring of the drilling operation, determining water quantity and quality, determining ultimate well depth and casing size, assisting in sizing of the well pumps and monitoring final well testing.

III) QUALIFICATIONS-The qualifications should provide the following information:

a) Firm's history, background, etc. (include list of similar projects completed in the last 5 years)

b) Capacity of the firm to conduct the Scope of Work and produce the final documents

c) Staff resumes

d) Staff availability

e) List of references and clients.

IV) SCHEDULE

a) Quotations Due: December 17, 2010.

b) Anticipated Contract Award Date: January 17, 2011

V) Plumas County Community Development Commission will select a firm and negotiate a contract based on price considerations and qualifications submitted.
