Animal acupressure certified
Susan Holmes passed the National Board of Certification for Animal Acupressure and Massage (NBCAAM) and is now a nationally certified equine acupressure practitioner. She is one of the few in the nation to achieve this distinction. NBCAAM was founded by a group of professional practitioners, instructors, and veterinarians working in the fields of animal massage and acupressure. Collectively, they developed a set of “core competencies” for each discipline that is designed to reflect the knowledge required to perform these two practices on animals. Susan said taking the exam is entirely voluntary for animal practitioners who are serious about enhancing the professional standing of animal massage and acupressure in the United States. Susan owns and operates Heaven’s Gate Equine Acupressure. For more information visit heavensgateequine.com or call 283-1182.
