Almanor Art Show sure to delight
The annual Almanor Art Show returns Aug. 6 –7, to the Collins Pine Lawn in Chester with booths ranging from wildlife photography and watercolors to hand-thrown pottery and unique jewelry.
The show opens at 10 a.m. both days, closing at 5 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Food and drink vendors and live music will be available both days.
A special feature year is a prize drawing for an intricate, wooden scale model of the Butt Lake Dinky locomotive by artist and photographer Tom Mallon. The real locomotive was found at the bottom of Butt Lake in 1996. Proceeds from the drawing will benefit arts education.
Drawing tickets are $5 each, three for $10 or eight for $20. The drawing is Sunday, Aug. 7, at the Almanor Art Show.
