Big Hill Project
Notice of Public Field Trip
The Beckwourth Ranger District, Plumas National Forest is developing the Big Hill Project northwest of Graeagle around the towns of Sloat and Cromberg, and the Laymans Camp and Poplar Valley areas. This project proposes to reduce hazardous fuels within the Wildland Urban Interface. The intent of this meeting is to collaborate with interested parties about the proposed activities, exchange ideas, share local knowledge, and discuss community concerns and desired outcomes out in the field.
When: Saturday, October 22nd, 9 am-3:30 pm
Where: Meet at the bridge in Sloat on county road 509.
¥ Visit field sites in the Big Hill Project Area
¥ Assess current stand conditions and discuss possible treatments
¥ Please bring a lunch and water
¥ Wear sturdy shoes and be prepared to hike.

REQUEST OF INFORMATION ON DOMESTIC WATER SUPPLIES
The Frenchman Lake Timber Harvest Plan (THP) is being proposed by the Donald W. Guidici Trust and the Guidici Trusts for their properties located in the Frenchman Lake Area of Plumas County, CA. This notice is requesting information for this planned THP concerning surface domestic water supplies from watercourses that receive drainage from the proposed THP Area and are within 1,000 ft. downstream from the proposed THP Boundary. The information requested for this proposed THP shall be furnished within 10 days of the publication date of this newspaper for incorporation into the respective THP per California Forest Practice Rules & Regulations.
