After taking the winter off, photography hobbyist and Lake Almanor Basin resident Jan Davies has again hit her stride in capturing incredible wildlife scenes.

Catching sight of an osprey that had just made his selection from the interactive lunch menu featured by the North Fork Feather River, she trailed him as he flew down Main Street in Chester.

After the osprey came to a rest near the Collins Pine lawn, Davies was able to snap this incredible photo from the nearby parking lot of the old Timberhouse Restaurant.

Davies often posts her photos online and this bold hunter was selected as a Fox 40 News “Weather Pic of the Day” after being chosen via popular vote by Facebook fans.
