Susanville Area Bike Association hosts bike, hike, run through October
The Susanville Area Bike Association (SABA) will be hosting local bike, hike, run, walk and jog events for individuals and families until October.
The event is to encourage people to keep active and have fun doing it. The events are not competitions; the goal is to help everyone get into shape, or to stay in shape.
The course can be finished in 20 minutes or three hours, depending on the desired pace.
Bike riders should bring a spare tube just in case a tire goes flat. Also, it is highly recommended that helmets be worn and bikes be in good working condition.
Participants should bring water, ID, food and a cellphone. They should let someone know before they leave their house where they will be going and when they expect to be home.
There will be four different venues where the events take place. The Bizz Johnson Trail will be the site Monday, Tuesday and Thursday of every week. Susanville Ranch Park will host events Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of every week.
Bicycle Bananas hosts events Monday and Sunday of each week, and an event takes place every Sunday in the Starbucks parking lot.
