Every month locally-owned Plumas Bank runs a small ad recognizing an Employee of the Month. Of those 12 recipients, three are selected as Star Performer Employees for the year. This year two of the three are here in Plumas County!
President and CEO Doug Biddle explained, "A Star Performer consistently demonstrates a high level of leadership within their area of job responsibility, they go above and beyond in customer service, and they inspire others through their actions at work and through community volunteerism. We invite our communities to join us in congratulating Sharell Jaramillo, financial services officer at the Quincy branch and Patsy Korhuniak, senior operations representative in Chester."

Chiropractor Chris Anderson is pleased to announce he will once again see patients in Quincy beginning in February. He will practice in the Sierra Valley Physical Therapy building across from DuPont Power Tools two days a month, beginning today, Feb. 3 and continuing on every other Wednesday. Appointments may be made by calling his Portola office at 832-4442.

simulated bank robbery tonight
In their ongoing effort to secure the safety of both their employees and customers, the Quincy branch of Plumas Bank and the Plumas County Sheriff’s SWAT deputies will conduct a simulated bank hostage takeover tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 27 at around 5 p.m. So, if you happen to drive by and see the excitement, keep in mind it’s just a practice drill, nothing more.

Martin Rosen, M.F.T., has worked in the mental health field since 1995 and is now associated with Plumas Rural Services serving patients in Plumas and Sierra counties. He graduated with a Masters degree in clinical psychology and is licensed as a marriage and family therapist.
