wilson named senior v-p
Plumas Bank recently promoted Kerry Wilson to senior vice president, credit administrator. He will be responsible for managing the bank’s loan portfolio; developing, directing and controlling all lending activities; and ensuring that bank lending policies and procedures are followed. Wilson has held the position of assistant loan administrator since 2003, but has been acting credit administrator for the past year. Prior to his position as assistant loan administrator he served as vice president, manager of the bank’s agricultural services department in Alturas.
“In recognition of Kerry’s skills, knowledge, dedication and accomplishments, the board and I are very pleased to announce his well deserved promotion. Ken Donnell and Jim McBeen of Donnell’s Musicland in Greenville just returned from Anaheim where they attended the annual National Association of Musical Merchants music and trade show. Ken said this is the largest trade show for musical instruments and related products in North America. Some of the purchases they made included an assortment of electric and acoustic guitars, basses, amplifiers, drums, violins and myriad accessories. Be sure to stop by their store on Main Street in downtown Greenville and check it out! By the way, they also repair musical instruments.
cpa firm opens office in chester
Longtime Susanville certified public accountants Pezzullo & Gussett, LLP have opened an office in Chester at 150 Main St. They offer tax preparation, accounting, payroll and management consulting services. Partners Steve Pezzullo and Julia Gussett, both CPAs, said Carlene Slusher, a Chester resident and CPA who has been with the firm for more than six years, will split her time between the Susanville and Chester offices. labor law update workshop
The Business Career Network/Alliance For Workforce Development is holding a workshop on the 2012 Labor Laws Thursday, Jan. 19, at the Plumas County fairgrounds. Business Services Director Jan Prichard said topics covered during the two-hour workshop that begins at 10 a.m. include NLRB notification of employee rights, meal and rest period update, family leave, notice of pay detail and other laws that apply to your business.
