  Happy Birthday this month to 93 year old Quincy resident W.W. Kellogg, editor, lawyer and public-spirited pioneer and California State Senator and who cast his first presidential vote for Abraham Lincoln in 1861.

Advertisement: Buy your Ford automobile at W. J. Hamblin's service garage in Greenville. It is your authorized agent for this section of Plumas County.

The Greenville Meat Market, recently closed, has been reopened Monday by Riehl and Openshaw, butchers of Indian Valley. They were presented a vase of flowers accompanied by a message of support and goodwill from the residents of Greenville pledging their support and patronage.

    Miss Anita Bolton, costumed as a domino and C.N. Erwin, costumed as an Indian squaw were awarded the best costumes at last Saturday's masquerade ball held in Quincy. They carried off the honors in the field of some 100 entries representing every character imaginable including simple cowboys and Indians to the ornate member of the Russian ballet.

According to data compiled by Plumas County Assessor H.C. Flournoy, a total of 1,876 motor vehicles are owned and registered by Plumas County residents. Of this, 537 are possessed by real estate property owners and 1450 by persons who have no real estate holdings in Plumas County. Conservativeley, these figures indicate that there is one motor vehicle to every two families within Plumas County.
