There’s no denying that Chester High is a school filled with athletes. Last year, the school dominated in every sport, making its players the team to beat. The surprising part was that last year’s teams were largely made up of juniors. Those same juniors will return this year bigger, stronger and more mature.
Last year’s team was nearly unstoppable. The Volcanoes lost only once in the regular season (to Maxwell during Chester’s homecoming game). The Volcanoes won their league and obtained home field advantage all through the playoffs. Finally, in a big loss for them, the Volcanoes were taken down 42-13 by Portola in the section championship game.
