Last year’s inaugural Tour de Manure metric century in Sierra Valley went so well the Sierraville Fire and Rescue Department is doing it again.
“This year some things are changing, but most things are staying the same,” said Doug Read, race co-coordinator. “It’s still a bunch of firefighters who don’t ride bicycles putting on a fun event for people who do ride. But we have adjusted a few tour features in response to comments from last year. Most important, we’ll have more of the mad-bull T-shirts to sell. Also, we’ve added a hill for people who say the course wasn’t tough enough.”
