Work will consist of, but not be limited to the removal and disposal of existing roofing, new paper, new shingles, and new flashing. Work must be completed by September 30, 2012. There are no drawings for this project so a site inspection prior to bidding is mandatory. Opportunity to Comment on the Winter grooming
The Plumas National Forest proposes to perform routine trail and facility maintenance at 3 trailheads and trail grooming for La Porte, Bucks Lake, and Lakes Basin near Bucks Lake Trail System: The trail system offers 100 miles of groomed trails ranging in elevations from 4, 000 feet to 5, 900 feet. These trails are accessed from two staging areas, Bucks Summit, and Big Creek. The frequency varies and is determined based on snow conditions, depth, and use. La Porte Trail System: The trail system offers 72 miles of groomed trails ranging from 4,900 to 6, 600 feet. These trails are accessed from a staging area. The frequency varies and is determined based on snow conditions, depth, and use. Lakes Basin (Gold Lake) Trail System: The trail system offers 10 miles of groomed trails ranging in elevation from 5, 400 to 7, 200 feet. These trails are accessed from a staging area. Trail grooming is contracted through Sierra County Public Works and administered on the Tahoe National Forest. The project is located in the Lakes Basin are on the Beckwourth RD, the Laporte area around Little Grass Valley on the Feather River RD, and Bucks Lake on the Mt. Hough RD. A draft Decision Memo detailing the proposal is available for review at the Plumas National Forest, Supervisor's Office.
