POTVIN PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT

Plumas Bank is pleased to announce that Raelyn Potvin has been promoted to vice president, internal audit officer. Raelyn joined the bank in 1985, working most of her career in accounting and eventually becoming the assistant controller and accounting manager. Four years ago she was named the internal auditor, taking on a leadership role in managing the bank’s audit resources. She has obtained several certifications from Independent Community Bankers of America, including those for internal auditor, compliance officer and BSA officer.

“Raelyn has worked for the bank for almost 30 years, always assisting our internal and external customers with a positive, helpful and caring approach.The board and I are pleased to promote her and we all look forward to many more years of leadership from Raelyn,”said Andrew J. Ryback, the bank’s president and CEO.

“CHRISTMAS IN JULY” BENEFIT DINNER

Longboards Bar & Grill at the Plumas Pines Golf Course in Graeagle is hosting “Christmas in July” on Tuesday, July 15, to benefit the Eastern Plumas Angel Program. Executive Chef Sean Conry will prepare a traditional turkey dinner buffet served from 5 to 7 p.m. Guests are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy or gift for a needy child, aged newborn to 15 years. The price of the dinner, $20, includes a $5.00 donation to the Angel Program.

Tickets are available from the Eastern Plumas Chamber of Commerce and the Portola Care’s Resource Center and will also be sold at the door. For information call the restaurant at 836-1111 ext. 33.

Customer Appreciation Day

Come and enjoy a great barbecued lunch during Chester NAPA Auto Parts’ Customer Appreciation Day on Thursday, June 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Manager Bill Mosby said there will some big savings on tools, filters and other items at the store as well. It is located on Main Street next door to Subway.

NEW NAME FOR PET SUPPLY STORE

It was seven years ago when Monte and Joanie Kielty opened what has become the very popular Treats Dog Company in Chester. Since that time, they have opened stores in Susanville and Redding. They have altered their store name to Treats Natural Pet Marketplace to better reflect their ever-expanding line of domestic pet supplies.

OUTDOOR FURNITURE SHOWROOM

Mountain Building Supply has opened a showroom in the old Finishing Touch building at its East Quincy location on Lee Road. Manager Sasha Winter said the showroom will be a display area for their expanded outdoor patio product collection that includes barbecues, furniture, gazebos, fire pits and more.
