LaMalfa to hold Chester meeting Aug. 23

Congressman Doug LaMalfa’s office notified Feather Publishing today that he is planning to hold a community coffee in Chester on Wednesday, Aug. 23.

“I invite residents of Chester, Plumas County, and surrounding areas in the 1st District to join me for an in-person community coffee meeting on Wednesday, August 23rd,” La Malfa wrote. “Come on out to the Chester Veteran’s Memorial Hall to let your voices be heard and to share with me your thoughts and ideas as we continue to move through the 115th Congress.”

The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the Veteran’s Memorial Hall at 225 Gay Street.

For questions, please contact LaMalfa’s Oroville district office at (530) 534-7100 or his Washington, D.C. office at (202) 225-3076.

His office said that no large signs, banners, signs with sticks, or weapons of any kind will be allowed in the venue.

LaMalfa represents California’s First Congressional District, which includes Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou and Tehama counties.

1 member of Congress for 11 counties. That sounds fair.

Very interested to hear dog lawmafia’s thoughts on the president’s recent support of the kkk , neo Nazis and his complete refusal to call out an act of terror.

Congressman LaMalfa on the most perilous challenge we face as a nation and a planet (i.e. exponentially warming climate): humans have no impact on climate change. He says this directly to his constituents at a recent town hall in Chico and receives a resounding “boooo” in response. The man is truly ignorant because he flatly, with no evidence to support what he states, denies what 99% of climate scientists have concluded on this matter. He needs to be called on it again in Chester and elsewhere within our District, or better yet, simply relieved of his duties in Nov. 2018. See it for yourself.
