Murphy Fire 100 percent contained

The Murphy Fire, which broke out in the early morning hours of Aug. 7 in the Feather River Canyon near Belden, is now 100 percent contained, and traffic controls on Highway 70 have been lifted. Crews will remain in the fire area monitoring and finishing dozer line repair. Some smoke will still be visible from within the interior of the fire.
