Christa Jo Ann Minor

Christa was born July 11, 1970, in Anaheim and passed away on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018.

She was a high school graduate and worked as a C.N.A. Christa resided in Boonville for the past seven years. She was very proud of her daughter and will be remembered for her big heart and honesty.

Christa is survived by her daughter, Nataile Feinblum; mother, Shirly E. Harris; sisters, Tracy A. Sparkman and Trisha L. Greenwood; brothers, Albert A. Minor, Scott W. Harris and Brett Harris; her best friend Clementina Guerrero; and by Pukka Shell Minor, her dog and faithful companion.

She was preceded in death by her father, Albert A. Minor.

Kelsey Lea Powles

Susanville native Kelsey Lea Powles passed from this life Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, from circumstances revolving around an auto accident outside of Hamilton Branch.

Born Dec. 4, 1997, in Susanville, to Timothy and Brandy Powles, Kelsey was raised and educated in Susanville.

In her passing, Kelsey leaves her parents, Brandy Klobas, of Reno, Nevada, and Timothy Powles, of Susanville; brother, Tyler Powles, of Susanville; sister, Alysha Powles, of Fernley, Nevada; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Teresa Cortese, of Chico; paternal grandmother, Terri Powles, of Sacramento; and great-great-grandfather, Bill Pinkston, of Oroville.

A celebration of Kelsey’s life is planned for Saturday, 2 p.m., Feb. 3, at the Susanville Community Church. An opportunity to express condolences to the family along with signing the memorial guest register is available online at fehrmanmortuary.com.

A fund has been set up to help defer final expenses in Kelsey’s name and donations can be made at any branch of US Bank.
