Rural school needs heard at CSBA

The unique challenges faced by rural school districts such as Plumas Unified are some of the many issues brought before the California School Board Association, which serves 6.2 million students in California’s public school systems. CSBA Region 2 delegates represent schools and county boards of education from Lassen, Plumas, Siskiyou, Modoc and Trinity. The Region 2 delegates who attended a recent statewide assembly in Sacramento are, back row from left, Teri Vigil, Dwight Pierson and Sherry Crawford from the CSBA Board of Directors. Bottom row from left, delegates Greg Gunkel and Brenda Duchi joined them. Pierson is serving a new two-year term as Plumas County’s delegate. Photo submitted
