The Central Plumas Recreation and Park District has started its preseason planning and sign-ups for the 2022 Adult Softball season. Softball league games are tentatively scheduled to commence on Monday, May 2. Teams are currently being formed during the pre-season and practice period. All games will be played on weekday evenings at Gansner Park and Feather River College. The Adult Softball League is divided into four divisions: men’s division, two co-ed divisions, and a women’s division.
“We would like to encourage existing teams and new teams and players from around the area to come out and participate this season. Adult softball is a great summer activity that allows friends, family, and co-workers to get together in a fun environment. We are so excited to return to a normal full season this year,” said CPRPD Recreation Supervisor, Conrad Gooley.
In addition, the Recreation District is seeking individuals interested in umpiring for the league. Training will be provided. “Being an umpire over the summer is a great way to get connected with the community and make some extra money in a fun, recreational environment,” said Gooley. Anyone interested in becoming an umpire is encouraged to contact the Recreation and Park District.
New players that would like to get connected with a team or individuals interested in forming a new team are invited to contact the Recreation District at 283-3278 or by e-mailing Conrad Gooley at [email protected]. Returning players for all divisions are encouraged to sign up promptly. Registration will only be available online, and can be found at cprpd.com under the “Programs & Activities” page.
