Almanor Fishing Association members serve community supper
Once again, the Chester Community Supper was a great success. Each supper is hosted by the Almanor Basin Food Pantry and each one is co-sponsored by a church or service organization. Thursday, March 16, just happened to be St. Patrick’s Day eve and guess what the menu offered? That’s right corned beef and cabbage with all the trimmings, including Irish green cake a la mode. This fine dinner was served up by some dedicated volunteers from the Almanor Fishing Association.
Next week’s dinner, on Thursday, March 23, will be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Chester. Sit-down service begins at 5 p.m. at the Chester Memorial Hall.
