Friends of Plumas County Animals will be opening our rescue in a few weeks! We are working on the last particulars of the ADA compliance issues and hopefully, will be operational by mid June-or before.
We are looking for volunteers to help care for the cats and kittens that will be coming in when the doors open. If you might be interested in 2 or 4 hour shifts Tuesday through Sunday, between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. and all evenings between 6-7:30 p.m. Please come and join us for a Volunteer Orientation on Sunday, May 29th.
Orientation begins at noon on the 29th and should last no more than 1.5 hours. We’ll be covering the basics of the building—heaters, air conditioners, fire extinguisher use and all the important items on how to handle and care for the animals in the rescue and handle potential adoptions.
Come join this amazing group of people—have some laughs and help some animals! Good for the soul work….
