Annual Star Follies wows again
The annual Quincy Star Follies, a fundraising event for the Feather River College Foundation, was held March 15-16 at the Plumas-Sierra County Fairgrounds.
Audience members were treated to 26 song and dance routines, followed by Frank Carey’s annual performance of “God Bless the U.S.A.” with the entire cast.
There was a tune sure to please each member of the audience ranging from oldies to hip-hop.
“The show was a success, playing to a sold out house two nights in a row, two shows each night!” said Lisa Kelly, chair of the Follies committee.
The show featured 50 Feather River College students, including multiple sports teams, 50 kindergarteners through high school seniors from throughout Plumas County, and 68 community members.
The FRC Foundation uses all proceeds for mini grants, programs and events for students, faculty and staff.
