Annual Veterans Stand Down is Aug. 11-12
Plumas County veterans and their families should mark their August calendars with two important dates for the sixth annual Plumas County Veterans Stand Down. This event is Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 11-12, at the Springs of Hope Christian Fellowship, at 59 Bell Lane in Quincy. The event runs form 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and offers no-charge dental and eye exams with free glasses as well as free gear, boots, haircuts, lunch and much more. On site exhibitors, include the Reno VA as well as the Plumas County Veteran Services office.
