ATT&T down; callers with AT&T can’t connect to 911

UPDATE: 911 calls are being rerouted to another agency.

Plumas County is experiencing a system-wide AT&T outage.

The Plumas County Sheriff said that residents may be able to make local calls, but 911 calls from both AT&T mobile phones and landlines are not working.

Verizon and T-Mobile can text to 911, but AT&T cannot.
The Sheriff’s Office cell phone in dispatch is working in Quincy where you can report emergencies and speak directly to a dispatcher. Call: 530-283-7444
AT&T is aware of the issue and working to resolve it. AT&T is also working on rerouting Plumas 911 calls to a neighboring agency.

The sheriff’s office will provide more info when it’s available.
