Beaty closes timberland due to extreme fire danger

Due to extreme wildfire conditions and risk to lives and property, W. M. Beaty & Associates, Inc. is closing its managed timberland in Lassen, Plumas, Modoc, Shasta, and Siskiyou counties. This closure will begin Sept. 4, at 5 p.m. and remain in effect until further notice.

Beaty and Associates takes its commitment to protecting the forest resources they manage, as well as public safety seriously. With weather conditions continuing to bring significant wildfire risk, along with fire-fighting resources already fully deployed across California, the difficult decision has been made to close these lands to public access and recreation.
Public roads across Beaty managed lands will remain open, but walk-in access to these privately-owned lands will not be allowed.
