Bucks Lake Highway closed for the season
Snow now blocks the Quincy-Oroville Highway, closing it for the winter. People seeking Christmas trees and a frolic in the snow were visible all along the lower reaches of the mountain road Nov. 27, but no wheeled vehicles were able to travel from Quincy to Oroville via Bucks Lake Road. The pass is left to snowmobiles, skis and hardy hikers for the season.
